Yamato 2202 1/1000

The detailing on this 1/1000 replica is sharper than I expected for the size, and the panel lines really pop once it's on the shelf. Assembly took me an afternoon and everything fit together cleanly.

Wasn't sure how the 1/1000 scale would look on a shelf, but the detail on the hull is way better than I expected for the size. The Wave Motion Gun turret actually rotates, which sold me. Took an afternoon to assemble and it was worth every minute.

The panel lines on this 1/1000 scale kit are crisp enough that even my shaky hands could detail it without a magnifying glass, and the fit of the main hull sections was surprisingly tight. It’s now the centerpiece of my shelf, and I keep finding new angles to admire the wave-motion gun barrel.
