The articulation on the shoulders and chest is surprisingly tight for a kit this size, and the gold trim pops without needing extra paint. I finished the build in one sitting and the joints hold poses really well for the price.
The transformation gimmick on this Ma Chao Barbatos is seriously well-executed, and the red and gold color separation pops right out of the box without needing much panel lining. Assembly took me a relaxing evening, and the included spear accessory gives it a commanding presence on the shelf.
The panel detailing on Ma Chao is surprisingly crisp for the price, and the kit fits together snugly without needing glue. Only gripe is the shoulder joints feel a bit stiff when posing, but that's an easy fix.
