The 1:100 scale is a nice middle ground, small enough to fit on my shelf but detailed enough that the panel lines really pop. Transformation to fighter mode took me a bit to figure out, but everything locks together tight once it's done.
I've built a few Macross kits and this 1:100 YF-19 might be my favorite so far. The transformable design actually holds together in fighter mode, which I honestly didn't expect at this scale. Took me a weekend to finish and it looks great on the shelf.
The panel lines on this kit are crisp and the transformation gimmick actually holds together solidly in both modes. As a 1:100 scale build it’s got that perfect balance of detail without being overwhelming, and the finished result looks right at home next to my other HG mecha.
